The Rhode Island Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission (RIHPHC) presents the Annual RI Statewide Historic Preservation Conference in different communities around the state. The daylong conference provides local preservationists to network, share ideas, present recent projects, and discuss new challenges. 2010 marks the 25th anniversary of the event. For 16 years, the RIHPHC presented Preservation Awards at the Annual Conference to honor remarkable people, projects, and programs that preserve special places in Rhode Island. In 2009, RIHPHC teamed up with Preserve Rhode Island on a joint program, The Rhody Awards for Historic Preservation. For more information on the 2009 awards and past awards, click on the link below.
